Makeup

I'm so loving Jennifer Lopez's lips on American Idol. So If you are in love too and want her juicy lips here is what I would use to get her look. (and I have used these colors! Looks hot!) Lip liner by M.A.C. Spice, Burre, hodgepodge, cushy. Lipstick by M.A.C. Hue, Blankety, Hug Me, Cherish. Lip gloss by M.A.C morning glory. Enjoy your J-Lo  lips!

Use the combo that best compliments you skin tone. She has a hot nude look that tends to be on the pink side or on the brown. I like both! Hope you find the perfect combo!

Makeup, Eyes

I love playing with makeup. I feel like an artist with paint and brushes ready to paint my master piece! I like to use my face as my canvas. My dad always said "You don't need to wear makeup, I think you just like putting it on!" Your right dad! Working at a makeup counter you learn a few tricks! So I thought I would share one! When doing your eyes start with a paint. I like the paint pots from MAC. If you don't like to spend over ten dollars than look at drug stores,  I like Mabellines paint. It dries fast so make sure you have your shadow ready to go! Once the paint is applied all over your eyes up to your brow. A little bit goes along way!  Start with a light color and dust it under your highest part of your brow. I also like to add it in the corners. Just for that added pop! Than pick a darker color and apply it to the crease start with a little bit of shadow on the outer part of your eye. In a circular motion apply the color and move your brush across your crease stop in the middle above your pupal. make sure it is blended. Last step is apply either a darker or a light color across the lid. Depends on the look you are trying to go for. Using an angle brush or your favorite pencil add eye liner across the entire lid. Then apply the color that you used in your crease as a liner for the bottom. Apply it along your lash line. (I like to use eyeliner first than use an angle brush and smudge the crease color over the eyeliner on the bottom (and on top) Gives it a little more softer look. Or skip the liner on the bottom. I like to wear it both ways. Don't forget to fill in your brows! And finish your look off with a nice mascara. I like to use Cover girl lash blast in dark brown. (Got the color on accident but so loving it! Nice change from Black!) This should give you a nice day time look or a nice smokey evening look! Enjoy playing with your colors!

Fashion

I'm excited that I went out of my comfort zone and tried to make my favorite shirt. The bat wing style. It is darling. I like to wear it with a belt and or as a shawl. I thought of my family and friends back home who get lots of spring rain when I made this. This is my desire to make clothes and make friends and family smile and fashionable!  Happy Day to you!

Spring treasures are not yet posted due to the computer. Sad, but trying to fix it!

Spring

There is still snow on the ground but with all my spring magazines coming in the mail. I'm ready for the snow to melt and bring out my spring clothes! Going through the magazines I've notice bright clothes and makeup! I like my clothes a little mellow! Until I get my tan! Safari look is coming back, wide high waisted jeans, not sure If I like the feel of the 70's. But I like how my tush looks in them!  Target has darling spring dresses. In fibrant colors. Green, Orange, Pink and Blue!!! From awesome designers! I also like to check out my local boutiques. Allot of the times they only have a few of the items which means your not looking like everyone else! I like to be original but I like the Target and Old Navy for my basics and traditional pieces! So start going through your spring clothes and make a list of what you need to make your wardrobe updated with the current styles. Have fun and I think every season you should splurge (I think of it as a bonus to my hard work!) on something for your beautiful self! I know it's kinda early to be spring cleaning your closet but you want that list in your purse or pictures from the magazine which help the sales person know what exactly your talking about! Be the first to get it! Before its to late! Happy Spring Cleaning!!!

Blankets

What a perfect Friday! The snow is falling, going to take some pictures of my favorite blankets I made! Get my Spring items posted next week. I'm going to make some hot new spring flower clips, necklaces, and earrings! Blankets are made with Cotton fabric and minky. I figured the cotton would be perfect for your bundle of joy, lay on the ground for a picnic. (recommend the cotton side down, you will want the soft minky on your bum!) or I like to take it out on the boat! Gets a little chilly sometimes on the water! Springs hot colors are coral, hot pink, and purple! I'll see if the stores got the memo and hope to find flowers in these colors because I think these pins will look great in your hair, on a shirt, pin it on a scarf, or my favorite to a hat! Endless possibilities. But adds a special flare to your outfit which I love! Well off to get everything camera ready! Enjoy your Friday!

Retail

So, I just want to thank all my years in retail and my managers who taught me about the retail business.  I am applying it to my business. Setting goals, keeping track of  inventory, making a budget and creating new treasures for the customers! To me as a stay at home mom it keeps me busy and motivates me to get ready and look like a business owner.  I heard a saying not sure from where,  it said "Look good for you" Most days I feel like not putting in an effort for me. Why? I am home all day who is going to see me? Looking good makes me feel good and makes me get off my hump and check my calender and see what I will achieve for the day. Trying to write a business plan. Yes, February is almost over. I think it's important for you to see where you want your business to go. Steps you need to achieve everyday to get there! I find it hard to juggle a toddler, keeping the house clean and running a business. One way I keep it all organized and me sane is my trusty calender! I write the 1. House chores. 2. Start a necklace. 3. Read a book to my son. Maybe not all that but it is helpful none the less! I loved everything about retail. The only thing missing was I was not in charge! I now get to have all that and be my own boss! I'm grateful for all the hard work that retail managers and boutique owners put into their business to make an enjoyable place for us (moms who need some retail therapy) (a day w/o the hubby and  kids)  to shop! I call it my place of heaven!
